U.S. Armed Forces
the great crusade - eto
From the mountains of central Italy to the bocage of Normandy, American soldiers, airmen, and sailors faced down the foe no matter the terrain or dangers. Thousands endured intensive combat in conditions which ranged from bitter cold to smoldering heat. Not once did the resolve of these GIs ever falter even in the face of an often fanatical enemy. Their blood, sweat, and tears secured freedom for mainland Europe and the world.
By Land, air, and sea - pto
Incredible humidity, torrential rains, impenetrable jungle, malaria, and a fanatical enemy were among the threats faced by the American personnel who served in the Pacific theatre of war. Marines and American infantrymen did battle on specs of sand and jungle most had never heard of against an enemy who seemed to have no regard for human life. Whether in a naval battle or jungle combat, Americans faced this foe and defeated them despite often crippling casualties. Their only reward was a visit to Australia or Hawaii if they were fortunate enough. By the end, the attack on Pearl Harbor had been thoroughly avenged by the sacrifice and bravery of those in the PTO.
