U.S. Armed Forces
OVER THERE - THE Aef
With the eyes of the world upon them, the first major elements of Americans began arriving in Europe in 1917. Inexperienced and lacking equipment, they made up for this with discipline and enthusiasm as they began training with other Entente forces. Their initial engagements proved their dependability and turned the "Doughboys" into a legendary force. Famed actions such as Beaulle Woods and the Meuse-Argonne Offensive helped establish a fierce reputation which was not soon forgotten.
the american colossus - HOMEFRONT
American military strength grew rapidly upon the nations entry into the conflict. This meant a greater need for Homefront services including instructors, logistical elements, and patrol duty. Though not as supposedly glamorous as service overseas, these men proudly carried out their duties for the duration of the war.
