Armed Forces of the United Kingdom
wE'LL MEET AGAIN - NORTH AFRICA & EUROPE
Wherever Axis forces deployed they were undoubtedly met by U.K. personnel of the Royal Navy, RAF, and army. For seven long years British personnel battled the Axis in a variety of theatres, remaining unbroken and bold despite the many early defeats. Even in their darkest moments they found hope and turned it to courage as they eventually drove the Axis out of Africa and returned to liberate mainland Europe. Dunkirk, El Alamein, Monte Cassino, and Arnhem all showed the world the tenacity and unfailing loyalty of the personnel of the United Kingdom.
dARKEST HOUR - BATTLE OF BRITAIN
The Fall of France in 1940 left Great Britain as the sole beacon of liberty in Axis occupied Europe. With the BEF in shambles there was little standing in the way of a German invasion or so many thought. But throughout the German attempt to pummel the U.K. into submission, the general population proved itself incredibly resilient and ready to sacrifice. Airmen of the RAF fought an endless number of sorties well volunteers manned searchlights and anti-aircraft guns to protect the countries industry. Every man and woman did their bit and created the "wartime spirit" which would reflect favorably on the nation forever.
